Klädesholmen guest harbour
A warm welcome to Klädesholmen’s guest harbour located on the west side of the beautiful and renowned herring island. The guest harbour is shaped like a cauldron, preventing disturbance from winds. Thanks to fixed mooring lines, it is a secure harbour even in windy conditions. We offer bookable berths through Dockspot. Website: https://kladesholmenvh.se/gasthamn/
From Klädesholmen’s guest harbour, it’s just a short stroll to cliffs and the refreshing sea. A child-friendly sandy beach can be found on the eastern side of the island. In the harbour area, there is a tennis court available for hire. Payment can be made at the guest harbour office, where you can also borrow a racket. The tennis court boasts a spectacular location right by the cliffs, with the sea as its neighbor. Within walking distance from the guest harbour, you’ll find well-regarded restaurants and a grocery store. The island also offers a newly constructed sauna available for hire. Klädesholmen is renowned as the “herring island,” where the strong connection to herring has persisted for hundreds of years. During your visit to the island, be sure to take home some locally produced herring and caviar. “Herring Day” is celebrated here every year on Sweden’s National Day, June 6th, where the local restaurant Salt&Sill presents the “Herring of the Year.” For those interested in learning more about Klädesholmen’s herring history, a visit to the herring museum “Sillebua” is highly recommended.
