Storjungfrun guest harbour
The harbour is located on the northeastern point. Entry is through a bearing line of 301°. Approach the pier buoy closely and make a starboard turn after passing it to avoid the shallow areas in the harbour. The harbour is open from May 15th to September 30th. Limited water availability. No pre-booking is available. There are defibrillators (AEDs) in the harbour.
Old fishing village with a chapel, as well as sea huts, dating back to the 17th century. The lighthouse was built in the early 19th century and was one of the first to guide navigation. Rich flora and fauna. Protected bathing beach at Toppatall, 2 km away. The island has given its name to the Virgin Coast, which is the coastal section between Älvkarleby and Sundsvall. Solar-powered 12V charging station for mobile phones, etc. is available in the sauna building. Rental cabins, managed by the Archipelago Unit, are located at Fyrhamnen and on the other side of the island at Toppatall (phone: +46 72-216 13 92).
