Welcome to Härnösand and the High Coast
There are three guest harbours in Härnösand: Kanaludden at Södra Sundet, Nattviken, and Norra Hamnen. They are open from 15 May to 1 October.
In central Härnösand, you will also find a marine fuel station and a pump-out station for recreational boats. All guest harbours are within easy walking distance of the town centre, where you can enjoy outdoor dining, cafés, and shopping. Step ashore and discover one of Sweden’s finest summer destinations!
In the town centre, you will find attractions including Technichus Science Center, the Härnösand Art Gallery, adventure golf, Härnösand Cathedral, and the Sambiblioteket Library.

Härnösand has two opening bridges: Nybron and Västra Kanalbron. Bridge openings must be booked at least one hour in advance, according to the schedule below.

Booking a bridge opening
Bridge openings must be booked at least one hour before the requested opening time by calling +46 611 156 87.
Please note: During the 2026 season, boats can only pass through the bridge in one direction at a time. This is because half of the channel remains closed while construction of the new bridge is still underway. From the 2027 season, both channels will be open, allowing boat traffic to pass in both directions simultaneously.
